Biography

David A. Alvarado is an associate in the firm’s Century City office and is a member of the real estate department. He concentrates on real estate transactions, including commercial office, retail and industrial leasing transactions and other property ownership/management-related matters, acquisitions/dispositions transactions and development and construction matters. On the development and construction front, David's expertise includes the preparation and negotiation of various professional services, architecture and construction agreements, shopping center and industrial/business park CC&Rs and REAs. On the leasing/property management front, David's expertise includes the preparation and negotiation of leases, assignment agreements, subleases, lease amendments, termination agreements, lease workouts and restructure agreements, guarantees, letters of credit and brokerage and commission agreements. David has worked on projects for a variety of clients including Tishman Speyer, Blackstone, Beacon Capital Partners, Kilroy Realty, Newport Capital Advisors, Westfield and Vintage Real Estate.

Education

David received his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in finance from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2003. In 2006, he received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he completed the program in business law and policy and served as an articles editor for the Pacific Basin Law Journal. While in law school David was a member of the Business Law Association and a mentor for the UCLA Law Fellows mentoring program. David also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Ernesto Robles, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
