Tatiana Cottam

Biography

Tatiana Cottam is an associate in the San Francisco office and a member of the Litigation department. She has successfully represented corporations and individuals in all types of litigation, including contract disputes, construction disputes, class actions, partnership disputes, business torts, environmental claims, and landlord-tenant disputes. Tatiana maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented clients in unlawful detainer and debt collection matters.

Tatiana coaches Boalt Hall’s top mock trial teams and has led several teams to sweeping victories. In 2014, her team won the Estrella Trial Competition in Puerto Rico, beating 13 other teams from across the country.

Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Tatiana worked with JusticeCorps, providing legal assistance at the Santa Monica Self-Help Legal Access Center.

Education

Tatiana received her B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2008. In 2011, she received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law at Boalt Hall.  

While in law school, Tatiana pursued trial advocacy. She led Boalt Hall’s Board of Advocates as its Chair from 2010-2011. In 2011, Tatiana was a finalist at the American Association for Justice Trial Competition. She was also an editor for the California Law Review. She earned an American Jurisprudence Award in Telecommunications, Internet, and Broadcasting in Fall 2010.
