Tatiana Cottam


Tatiana Cottam is an associate in the firm's San Francisco office, where she focuses on general business litigation.

Prior to joining Allen Matkins, she worked with JusticeCorps, providing legal assistance at the Santa Monica Self-Help Legal Access Center. Having won the distinction of being the top female debater at both the California State Tournament and National Forensics League Tournament in 2004, Tatiana went on to teach advocacy to high school students until 2008.


Tatiana received her B.A. in Political Science & Women's Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. She graduated summa cum laude in 2008. In 2011, she received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.

While in law school, Tatiana pursued trial advocacy. She was a semi-finalist at the Bales Trial Competition in 2009 and later joined the Board of Advocate's Trial Team. She went on to lead the Board of Advocates as its Chair from 2010-2011. In 2011, Tatiana was a finalist at the American Association for Justice Trial Competition. Tatiana was also an online editor for the California Law Review. She earned an American Jurisprudence Award in Telecommunications, Internet, and Broadcasting in Fall 2010.
