Biography

Sarah Maria Dreisbach is an associate in the Century City office and a member of the firm's Real Estate group. She works on a variety of real estate matters, including lease agreements, amendments, and other real estate-related transactions. 

Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Sarah practiced real estate law at the law firm of Gorman and Miller in Santa Monica. At Gorman and Miller, Sarah focused on title and survey issues for commercial and residential real estate transactions, as well as purchase and sale agreements.

In addition to her real estate practice, she enjoys regular pro-bono work, including assisting non-profits with tax exemption and other related matters.

As part of her ongoing interest in and commitment to health, Sarah works to maintain her daily hatha yoga practice, which she began many years ago, while living in New York City. She is proficient in Spanish and has an introductory knowledge of Portuguese.

Education

Sarah received her J.D. from Stanford University Law School in 2006. While a student at Stanford, Sarah acted as the volunteer coordinator for the Immigration Law Clinic, coordinating volunteers and advising clients on immigration-related matters. She participated in Stanford's Community Law Clinic, representing clients in administrative hearings, and also worked at the Santa Clara District Attorney's Office in San Jose, California, where she made court appearances on behalf of the prosecution.

Prior to law school, Sarah received her Master's in international affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs where she focused on business, economics, and economic development in Latin America. During her tenure at Columbia, she was awarded two fellowships, including the highly competitive F.L.A.S. foreign language fellowship to study Portuguese. She also received a fellowship to assist with small business development in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, where she lived and worked before beginning law school at Stanford.

Upon graduating from law school, Sarah Maria went on to start her own business and publish a book, Love Your Body, Love Your Life, endorsed by best-selling author and physician Dr. Deepak Chopra. In addition to publishing a book, her business included individual coaching, public speaking and online product sales.
