Biography

Matthew J. Ertman is located in our Los Angeles and San Francisco offices. He has extensive experience in representing companies in corporate finance transactions, including public and private securities offerings of equity and debt, venture capital investments, initial and secondary public offerings, state and federal securities compliance and enforcement proceedings, and asset-based lending and borrowing. He also regularly advises public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and partnership arrangements.

In addition to providing advice on transactional matters, Matthew has extensive experience in representing public companies in the filing of current, quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and other corporate governance regulations, qualification and continued listing on national stock exchanges, and other general corporate matters.

Clients include private and public companies in a broad variety of industries, including medical product sales and manufacturing, e-commerce, financial services, venture capital, real estate, industrial and consumer manufacturing, publishing, and restaurants and entertainment.
