Biography
Alexis Ford is an associate in the San Francisco office, with a real estate practice in general real estate matters, including the acquisition, financing and disposition of commercial real estate assets, workout of distressed debt, and formation and management of joint ventures. She represents investors in the acquisition and disposition of office, bioscience and retail properties. Alexis provides counsel to investors and financial institutions on a variety of financing matters, including acquisition financing, loan assumption, exercise of lender remedies and workout of distressed debt. She also represents investors in the formation and restructuring of, and sale of interests in, joint venture entities for ownership and management of retail, hospitality and office properties.
Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Alexis was an associate in the Real Estate Department of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP’s San Francisco office.

Education
Alexis received her B.A. in literature from University of California, Santa Cruz in 1999 and her J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2008. During law school, she served as Articles Editor for the Hastings Business Law Journal. Alexis externed for the Honorable Vaughn Walker at the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California in the spring of 2007.
