Biography
One of the founding members of the firm, John is Operating Partner of the San Francisco office and heads the firm's recruiting program. His practice focuses on real estate development, acquisition, finance and joint ventures, and he has provided expert counsel for a diverse range of clients including developers, insurance companies, financial institutions, and private investors. John offers expertise in financial restructuring for real estate developments, and he has successfully negotiated all the complex issues associated with major real estate projects in the residential and commercial arenas. He has broad experience working with cities, counties, governmental agencies, homeowner associations, and public groups that affect the development of a range of projects.

He received his B.A. from Stanford University in 1967 and his J.D. with honors from Loyola Law School Los Angeles in 1971.
