Biography
Vernon C. Gauntt is a partner in our San Diego office. His practice focuses on real estate finance and development, with an emphasis on transactions for developers, capital providers and investors in commercial and residential projects throughout the country. Casey has extensive experience in the formation and capitalization of real estate investment and development vehicles such as joint ventures, limited liability companies and limited partnerships, including private syndicated equity offerings and formation of investment funds with large institutional investors. Casey's financing expertise includes negotiation and documentation of construction loans and permanent financing, as well as more exotic financing structures such as subscription lines of credit for investment funds secured by investors' capital contribution commitments and project lines of credit for investment funds secured by project equity, mezzanine loan and traditional loan investments. With over thirty-five years of experience of representation within the real estate industry, Casey has guided his clients through several investment cycles.

Education
Casey was educated at the University of Southern California where he was a Trustee Scholar. He received his B.S., magna cum laude, in 1972 and three years later graduated with a J.D. and an MBA from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and School of Business.
