Biography

Bryan L. Hawkins is an associate in our San Francisco office, where he provides support to our litigation team in a variety of matters. Bryan's practice primarily involves general business litigation, litigation of statutory environmental claims relating to CERCLA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, Proposition 65, and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and litigation of common law and statutory land use claims as well as eminent domain cases.

Bryan has also gained extensive trial experience through his participation in the Volunteer District Attorney Program at the San Francisco County District Attorney's Office. During this three-month program, Bryan assumed the role of a district attorney and was independently responsible for the prosecution of a variety of crimes, including assault, battery, theft, arson, and driving under the influence. Through this program, Bryan gained substantial experience in all aspects of the trial process, from jury selection to closing argument.

Education

Bryan received his B.S. in political science from Santa Clara University in 2002. While at Santa Clara, he received both the Hollace Pugh Service Award and the Student Life and Leadership Award. In 2005, Bryan received his J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Davis Law Review. He was also a member of the Davis National Mock Trial Team. Prior to graduation, Bryan was selected as a member of the Order of the Barristers for excellence in oral advocacy.
