Biography
Cynthia M. Jara is senior counsel in our Century City office and practices general civil litigation. She focuses her practice in commercial contract, labor and employment, construction defect, insurance coverage and bad faith, and real estate litigation.
Cynthia has experience with all stages of the litigation process in both State and Federal Court, and has also represented clients in arbitration proceedings.
She was a Summer Law Clerk in 1999 for the United States Department of Labor in San Francisco, where she assisted attorneys in prosecuting federal labor law violations, including ADEA, ERISA, FLSA, and Title VII violations.

Education
Cynthia received her J.D. in 2000 from the UCLA School of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program and a Fair Housing Institute Volunteer. She received her B.A. in philosophy and political science from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1997.
