Biography

Delmar L. Nehrenberg is a partner in our Century City office where he serves as the Chairman of the firm's Century City Construction Practice Group and Co-Chairman of the Firm's Construction Transactional Practice Group. He is a national expert on complex commercial and residential development, construction and leasing projects. He has been the lead attorney on more than $5 billion of major development projects, is lead counsel on more than $1 billion of construction projects annually and has drafted and negotiated numerous development leases of 250,000 square feet or more as well as standard office and retail leases of every magnitude. 

Delmar's experience includes representing a wide range of clients, including owners, developers, landlords, sellers, buyers and other business enterprises in complex transactions relating to their business. Delmar gives seminars to builders, landlords, developers, brokers and other real estate professionals (and graduate students) on a variety of legal issues impacting their business activities, including lecturing for graduate programs at University of Southern California, University of California, Los Angeles, and Loyola Marymount University. He has negotiated with all major design firms and contractors working in California.

Delmar is the "go to" lawyer for many of the firm's top clients including Disney, Kilroy Realty, Blackstone, EOP, Beacon Capital Partners, Kamehameha Schools, Festival Companies, Lincoln Properties, Highridge Partners, et. al. on their real estate projects. In such regard, Delmar provides expert legal oversight of large real estate portfolios, projects, malls and complexes negotiating and strategizing not only on our clients' largest and most complicated deals, but on their day to day operations and smaller mom-and-pop lease transactions as well. He has gained extensive expertise in legal issues surrounding many cutting edge design and construction issues such as LEED certification, integrated project delivery systems and Building Information Modeling.

Education

Delmar received a B.A. in psychology and a B.A. in economics at the University of California at San Diego, and obtained his law degree from UCLA School of Law, where he was a graduate of the Business/Law program in 1999.
