Biography
Rachel M. Sanders is an associate in the Los Angeles office, where she is a member of the Litigation practice group. In addition to commercial and business litigation, she focuses her practice on lending-related litigation.
Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Rachel worked as a staff attorney at The Alliance for Children's Rights in the NextStep Program for transition-aged foster youth. In that position she obtained benefits for disabled youth and participated in legislative and systemic responses to the needs of youth aging out of the foster care system. Prior to that, she worked as an associate in the Corporate & Securities practice group at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.
Education
Rachel received her B.A. in film & digital media and literature with a minor in legal studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2005. She received her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 2008, where she was an articles editor at the Wisconsin Law Review and treasurer of the moot court team. While at UW, Rachel also participated in the Criminal Appeals Clinical Program.
