Biography
Jennifer C. Shakouri is an associate in the firm's Los Angeles office, where she is a member of the Litigation Department. She focuses her practice on commercial and business litigation before federal and state Courts. In addition to general business litigation, she focuses her practice on real estate litigation, including landlord-tenant disputes, lease interpretation and enforcement, and construction defect litigation. She also has experience litigating cases involving the Americans With Disabilities Act. Jennifer represents business entities, financial institutions, property owners, individuals and developers, and has a variety of trial and alternate dispute resolution experience.
Jennifer enjoys running and practicing yoga.
Education
Jennifer received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2007. While attending USC, she served as the Notes Editor of the Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal and published "The Workplace Romance and Sexual Favoritism: Creating a Dialogue Between Social Science and the Law of Sexual Harassment," 16 S. Cal. Interdisc. L.J. 183 (2006). Jennifer also served as an extern for the Honorable Carl J. West, Los Angeles Superior Court. She graduated cum laude from New York University in 2004 with a B.A. in psychology. Jennifer has spent time studying abroad in both Florence and Bologna, Italy.
