Biography

Richard E. Stinehart is a partner in the firm's Orange County office and serves as vice chairman of the Real Estate Group, chairman of the Orange County Real Estate Group and the firm's Opinion Committee. He has more than 25 years of experience representing developers, institutional investors, financial institutions and lenders with respect to the acquisition, development, financing and disposition of office, industrial and retail projects, hotels, resorts, multi-family projects, as well as addressing the challenges of acquiring and developing infill and brownfield properties. Rick also has extensive experience in loan negotiation workouts, partnership restructuring, the acquisition and disposition of performing and non-performing loans and loan portfolios, and foreclosures and receiverships.

Education

Rick received his B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of California, Irvine in 1978. He earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 1982 where he graduated first in his class and was honored with the Order of the Coif.
