Biography
Keith D. Yandell, senior counsel in the firm’s San Francisco office, commands a unique combination of trial, class action, and appellate experience. Keith enjoys a diverse practice, and has successfully litigated multiple mortgage origination, employment, title insurance, and real estate cases. In handling these matters, Keith regularly appears in both state and federal court and, in a five-week jury trial, earned his clients a unanimous verdict that included a seven figure compensatory and punitive damage award. Keith has lectured on topics related to lending law, including the Truth in the Lending Act, California Civil Code § 1632 and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act. He is a co-author of California Trial Objections (CEB 2011).
Keith has also successfully litigated many pro-bono cases, including assisting a non-profit organization in its effort to retrieve money that an employee embezzled, and representing aliens attempting to obtain asylum.
Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Keith worked as an associate at Reed Smith.

Education
Keith earned his J.D. at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law in 2004 where he was also on the Board of the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology. He graduated from the University of California, Davis with highest honors in both political science and American studies. Keith also received the Presidential Scholarship which supported traveling to Florida to complete his honors thesis, "The Impact of Indian Gaming."
