Allen Matkins Achieves Platinum Level Recognition in 2012 UC Hastings Law Firm Challenge

SAN FRANCISCO – March 27, 2013 – Allen Matkins, a preeminent California-based real estate and full service business law firm, is one of only seven law firms that achieved platinum level status in the "2012 UC Hastings Law Firm Challenge." One hundred percent of the firm's University of California Hastings College of the Law alumni participated in the Challenge, raising close to $6,000 among 12 attorneys.

The UC Hastings Law Firm Challenge is a fundraising campaign designed to encourage alumni at law firms, organizations and corporations to reconnect with their law school. By participating in the Challenge, graduates help the school raise essential funds that help defray rising tuition costs, increase overall alumni giving participation, and strengthen the UC Hastings alumni network. Challenge participants are recognized according to the percentage of alumni who donate at silver (50%), gold (75%) or platinum (100%) levels.

Last year was the first that Allen Matkins participated in the Challenge and the firm expects to top its fundraising results in 2013. Co-captained by partner Sandi Nichols and senior counsel Mark Seifert, Allen Matkins' UC Hastings alumni team included Frederick Allen, Alexis Ford, Rick Friess, Ivan Gold, William Harmsen, Anton Hasenkampf, Kamran Javandel, Tim McDonnell, Sarina Saluja and David Zaro.

Allen Matkins, founded in 1977, is a California-based law firm with approximately 220 attorneys in four major metropolitan areas of California: Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco and San Diego.
