Randy Broberg Bio
Randy Broberg is Chair of the Allen Matkins Technology and Intellectual Property Practice Group.
Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Randy served as WebSideStory's Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Privacy Officer. At WebSideStory, Randy was responsible for all legal, governmental and privacy related issues. He was involved in the national privacy debate through his participation in the Online Privacy Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative task force on web beacons.
Randy also spent five years as a legislative assistant to former San Diego Congressman Bill Lowery in his Washington, D.C. office.
Randy has lectured on intellectual property matters at the University of California, San Diego as well as University of San Diego Business School. He has also spoken to the Directors Roundtable, Young Presidents' Organization, San Diego Internet Roundtable, and both the American and Canadian Associations of Corporate Counsel on intellectual property and Internet-related topics and is a frequent guest on I'm There for You Baby: The Entrepreneur's Guide to the Galaxy, a San Diego-based radio program hosted by Neil Senturia and Barbara Bry.
