Kevin Ryan was quoted recently in the San Francisco Chronicle regarding Gregory Reyes being convicted of securities fraud in the first criminal trial over the backdating of stock options. Reyes, former chief executive of Brocade Communications Systems, Inc., was convicted on 10 counts including fraud, falsified accounting, conspiracy and filing false financial statements. Ryan, as U.S. attorney for the Northern District of California, filed the indictment against Reyes. Reyes faces up to 20 years in prison. Click here to read the San Francisco Chronicle article.
