Randy
Broberg Writes "The Impact of IP in Venture Capital Transactions"
SAN DIEGO – Oct. 10, 2007 – Randy
Broberg, a partner in the Del Mar Heights office of Allen Matkins
Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP and chair of the firm's Technology
and Intellectual Property Practice Group, has written a chapter in the recently published "Maximizing
Intellectual Property Value: Leading Lawyers on Leveraging Your
IP Portfolio, Negotiating IP Transactions, and Creating Intellectual
Capital (Inside the Minds)."
Broberg's chapter,
"The Impact of IP in Venture Capital Transactions," focuses on the
importance of well-protected and documented intellectual property
in venture capital and private equity transactions.

Broberg, who
has more than 18 years' experience counseling venture capital firms
on intellectual property matters, brings a unique perspective to
the intellectual property legal landscape, having crossed the bridge
between law and business.
He has been a partner at several large law firms, in addition
to acting as general counsel at two high-tech companies. His law practice emphasizes intellectual
property, licensing, and commercial transactions for emerging growth

and software industries. His

and e-commerce.
