Randy Broberg Launches "The Licensing Lawyer"

Podcast by Allen Matkins Attorney Addresses Intellectual Property Matters

SAN DIEGO – Jan. 31, 2008 – Randy Broberg, a partner in the Del Mar Heights office of Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP and chair of the firm's Technology and Intellectual Property Practice Group, is launching "The Licensing Lawyer," an educational podcast that addresses practical solutions to intellectual property problems.

The first episode of the podcast, located on the Web at www.thelicensinglawyer.com, covers trade secrets and how they are commonly lost. Future episodes will delve into identifying trade secrets, protecting trade secrets in the wake of departing employees, protecting confidential information and documents, computer security measures, non-disclosure agreements, protecting trade secrets from third party office or factory visitors, among others. The podcast can be streamed live and is also available for download on "The Licensing Lawyer" Web site.

Broberg, who has more than 19 years' experience counseling venture capital firms on intellectual property matters, brings a unique perspective to the intellectual property legal landscape, having crossed the bridge between law and business. He has been a partner at three large law firms, in addition to acting as general counsel at two high-tech companies. His law practice emphasizes intellectual property, licensing, and commercial transactions for emerging growth companies in the biotechnology, Internet, telecommunications, computer, and software industries. His areas of focus also include domain names, trademark and copyright registration and enforcement, Web site protection, privacy regulations, and e-commerce.

A frequent lecturer and author on legal issues in the technology law field, Broberg is a frequent contributor to "I'm There For You Baby," a radio show and podcast for technology entrepreneurs, and has been widely quoted by publications regarding intellectual property issues, including Google's acquisition of YouTube.
