Melissa K. Zonne is a litigation associate in our Los Angeles office. She practices commercial and corporate litigation including construction defect, commercial and residential real estate and corporate matters, and general contract disputes. Melissa’s practice involves an emphasis on labor and employment, real estate, construction, and receiverships.

Melissa has successfully represented clients in trial, mediation and arbitration, and has experience in federal and state courts throughout California. Melissa has extensive litigation experience arguing motions, including ex parte applications, motions for summary judgment, and discovery motions, as well as preparation and drafting, civil discovery and depositions, and briefing on the appellate level. Melissa has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex construction defect lawsuits and mediations, as well as commercial contract disputes. As part of her work in the Labor & Employment Practice Group, Melissa has assisted in successfully defending against matters involving a variety of discrimination claims and wage and hour violations, including class actions. Melissa also has experience providing general advice and counsel to clients, which includes drafting various agreements and contracts, including separation agreements, employment contracts, liability waivers and general releases.

Melissa received her B.A. in public relations, with a minor in business administration, from University of Southern California. She received her J.D. from the USC Gould School of Law. While in law school, Melissa was the Chair of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program.

Melissa was previously a summer associate at Allen Matkins. Melissa also participated in Gould’s Small Business Clinic, in which she gained extensive corporate experience that supplements to her practice today.
