Drew’s practice includes the acquisition, development, leasing, and sale of all major product types. Drew’s experience with real estate finance, corporate law, and tax law enables him to resolve complex issues and effectively implement practical solutions. His practice is recognized nationally and he is regularly named as a top real estate lawyer by The Best Lawyers in America.

Drew and his team represent some of the largest institutional real estate developers, owners, operators, and investors in the nation and are involved in leasing millions of square feet of building space annually including complex sale-leaseback transactions. Drew’s team frequently works with clients to structure and negotiate significant ground lease transactions including multi-phased leases, mixed-use projects, and participating ground leases.

He also represents some of the largest and most active developers of single family, multi-family, and mixed-use projects. His retail experience includes development and leasing of shopping centers, including transactions with many of the largest retailers in the United States. Drew also works with clients to negotiate equity and debt investments for projects and assist clients in structuring and negotiating joint venture agreements.

Clients see him as proactive listener and team leader. Drew’s leadership attributes have also been recognized within Allen Matkins, where he serves as Operating Partner of the Orange County office.
