Brian R. English

Associate

Brian is a litigation associate in the Orange County office, representing clients in both state and federal courts, with a focus on eminent domain, inverse condemnation, and land use disputes. His eminent domain clients include property owners and businesses impacted by major public works projects, such as the I-405 and I-55 freeway widenings, various Los Angeles Metro rapid-transit line extensions, and infrastructure improvements at Los Angeles International Airport.

Having worked on behalf of both public and private entities, Brian leverages his unique perspective to help his clients navigate these complex proceedings. In many cases, this involves structuring deals to avoid costly litigation and to minimize the impacts of a project on the property owners and businesses that he represents. Brian has helped clients resolve complex land use issues arising under myriad federal, state, and local laws, including the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Partition of Real Property Act, and Subdivision Map Act.

Accolades

  • Named to “30 Under 30” in New York City real estate by Commercial Observer
