Mikayla O'Neal

Associate

Mikayla is a litigation associate in the San Diego office. Her work encompasses a wide range of complex real estate and business litigation matters, such as landlord/tenant, construction, purchase/sale, and partnership disputes. In addition to regularly appearing in hearings and depositions, Mikayla is a skilled writer and has authored appellate briefs, motions in limine, and several briefs for the various stages of trial. 

Mikayla is committed to pro bono, with a focus on asylum matters. Outside of work, Mikayla is an adjunct professor at UC Hastings, teaching first-year law students in the fundamental course of Legal Research and Writing.

Landlord/Tenant. Advises clients in landlord/tenant disputes, primarily involving commercial real estate assets, including numerous recent cases related to COVID-19 requiring the interpretation of lease terms and governmental orders.

Construction. Represents entities in construction matters, such as litigating mechanics lien claims and disputes between owners and contractors.

Business. Handles a wide range of business litigation, including breach of fiduciary duty claims and general partnership disputes.
