Annette M. Rittmuller

Senior Counsel

Annette is a senior counsel in the San Francisco office and a member of the Labor & Employment practice. She helps clients navigate the many nuances of federal, state, and local employment laws, providing creative compliance solutions to this complex environment.

She represents employers in individual and multi-party employment litigation in state and federal court, in arbitration, and before administrative agencies, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), California Civil Rights Department (CRD), and California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE).

Annette regularly advises clients on a variety of employment issues, including:

  • Wage and hour compliance;
  • Pay transparency;
  • Leave issues and disability accommodation;
  • Restructuring and layoffs;
  • Discipline and terminations;
  • Harassment and discrimination investigations;
  • Government investigations;
  • Hiring process compliance, including background checks; and
  • Drafting, reviewing, and updating employment policies and handbooks.

Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Annette was an associate at AmLaw 100 firms, practicing employment law.
