Rebecca Williams is a real estate and business litigator in the San Diego office with experience representing clients in a broad range of disputes, including partnership matters, landlord-tenant conflicts, construction disputes, and class actions. She handles all phases of litigation — from early case assessment and pleadings through discovery, law and motion practice, and resolution — and has second-chaired multiple trials and arbitrations. Rebecca also has experience briefing and litigating writ proceedings and appeals.
In addition to her civil litigation practice, Rebecca advises and represents clients in land use matters and related litigation, including disputes arising under California’s State Planning and Zoning Law, Housing Accountability Act, State Density Bonus Law, and the California Environmental Quality Act.
Rebecca’s approach to advocacy is informed by her work prior to law school. After earning her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, San Diego, she spent six years as an academic advisor, guiding students through decision-making and helping them map long-term academic and professional goals. While in law school, Rebecca served as an extern to the Honorable Deborah Barnes, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of California, and as a legal extern with the National Center for Lesbian Rights in San Francisco.
Outside the office, Rebecca serves on the board of the San Diego Community Housing Corporation and volunteers with the San Diego Humane Society’s Project Wildlife program and San Diego’s Regional Task Force on Homelessness. She is also a member of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee and participates in the firm’s pro bono program.
