Trial lawyer Shauna believes that her most important case is the one she is currently working on. Her diligence, combined with her can‑do and client‑centric approach, has proven successful in her representation of real estate, entertainment, and technology companies in state court, federal court, and arbitration. Her experience also includes practice before the Assessment Appeals Board, broadening the forums in which she advocates for clients.
Shauna is a life‑long learner who enjoys developing an in‑depth understanding of each client’s business, industry, and unique challenges. She recently completed a certification course in real estate investing and analysis from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, further strengthening her ability to advise clients navigating complex real estate matters. Her practice allows her to help clients solve complex problems and navigate difficult situations, and her experience includes negotiating and enforcing settlements, counseling clients on strategic business‑focused resolutions, and resolving disputes through thoughtful negotiation.
As an intern at Inner City Law Center during college, Shauna was inspired to earn her law degree to better assist individuals in underserved communities. She maintains an active pro bono practice, helping clients obtain asylum and Special Immigration Juvenile Status (SIJS). In 2020, she worked with Inner City Law Center to secure a settlement of approximately $1.1 million on behalf of low‑income Latinx families being pushed out of their homes in a rapidly gentrifying neighborhood—work that earned her a special award from the City of Lancaster. She has also assisted parents in adopting more than a dozen children through her pro bono efforts.
Shauna served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Virginia A. Phillips in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
In addition to her practice, she serves on the Board of Directors for Inner City Law Center and the State Appellate Judicial Evaluation Committee (SAJEC).
