Gregory Canyon and CEQA Reform: A Perfect Case Study

Speaking Engagement

When

10.08.13

Where

San Diego, California

This CLE will present an in-depth look at the Gregory Canyon Landfill project from the perspective of two lawyers who have been involved with the project for a number of years on both sides of the issues. The presenters will explain the history of the project’s permitting and litigation, and will discuss the past and present California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) battles in the context of the ongoing Legislative efforts to reform CEQA. Depending on your viewpoint, the Gregory Canyon project may be a perfect case study for CEQA reform, or it may be a perfect example of how CEQA continues to work as intended.

Key Topics:

  • Learn about the Gregory Canyon Landfill Project.
  • Understand arguments for and against CEQA reform, using the Gregory Canyon Landfill Project as a case study.
  • Gain a better understanding of landfill permitting and CEQA litigation.
