Scott is a partner in the Allen Matkins Century City office and is a go-to lawyer for the firm's most hotly contested and difficult litigation matters. Most recently, he and his team obtained a full defense verdict for Citizen Systems Japan and Citizen Systems America, which the Daily Journal recognized as one of the most significant verdicts of 2019. In that matter, Scott and his team successfully defended their clients, manufacturers and sellers of printer components used for "Ziosk" point-of-sale devices, against allegations that their printer products caused nearly $200 million in damages to touch screen ordering devices manufactured and sold by the plaintiff.
Scott's other trials and arbitrations have included representing major telecommunications companies in network real estate matters; representing financial institutions, mortgage companies, and real estate businesses in a wide range of real estate and consumer finance disputes; handling complex entertainment industry disputes; resolving complex franchise matters on behalf of substantial franchisors and franchisees; litigating complex product warranty claims; and trying complex insurance disputes.
