EXPERIENCE
- Represent a successor to domestic mercury mining company in connection with investigation and remediation of closed mercury mines.
- Represented a former chemical company property owner in completing environmental characterization resulting in issuance of No Further Action letter (NFA) with recorded Deed Restriction from Regional Board and an Easement Agreement with an adjacent utility company property owner, all of which were needed to allow a sale to an industrial user to occur.
- Represented steel companies in connection with the sale of 600+ acres of property on which a mill previously operated, and in three buyout transactions and mergers.
- Represented a gas supplier in permitting for hydrogen plant facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area and SCAQMD (South Coast Air Quality Management District), and in Clean Water Act citizen suit.
- Represented the owner of a kraft pulp mill in procurement of air and wastewater discharge permits, regulatory enforcement proceedings regarding alleged violations of emissions limits and ocean discharges of wastewater, hazardous waste management and construction disputes in connection with mill demolition, and sale of mill property.
