- Government procurements, including pre-bid meetings, performance bonds compliance, DBE/MBE issues and contract negotiations
- Pre-acquisition and leasing of present and former industrial port properties to address key land issues and environmental issues (including soil, groundwater, surface water and sediment contamination)
- Administrative enforcement actions brought by regulatory agencies, as well as private party cost recovery litigation to allocate the costs of remediation
- Entitlement planning and strategies related to the regulatory approval of projects, site development, compliance with local regulations and CEQA/NEPA (including climate change and other air quality impacts associated with port-related activities)
- Utility relocation issues, which arise from seaport infrastructure projects to (that?) minimize costs and avoid utility-related project delays
- Complex relocation disputes involving multiple parties (such as project owners, local agencies, utility owners and private landowners)
- Individual relocation agreements and memoranda of understanding, easements and other related agreements with multiple interested parties

We also are frequently called upon to counsel, negotiate, and when necessary, litigate on behalf of the seaports or seaport tenants on political, technical and legal environmental issues, often developing appropriate remedies for cleanups to permit ongoing commercial and industrial activities while still being protective of the environment.
