Allen Matkins assists and advises services on loan assumption transactions, in which the buyer of the property assumes an existing loan secured by that property.
EXPERIENCE
As part of this process, we review the underlying loan documents and buyer’s organizational documents; prepare and negotiate loan assumption documents (which may include modifications of the underlying loan documents); and work to close the transaction.
In addition, we routinely review title insurance reports and surveys and review and negotiate opinion letters.
