Development Agreements

Our land use attorneys have drafted and negotiated more development agreements than any other law firm in the state. 

We are known as innovators and leaders in this area and have drafted development agreements for every type and size of development project. We have also litigated development agreements in the California Supreme Court.

EXPERIENCE

  • Developer. Represented developer of 900-acre master planned community on local, state and federal regulatory permit issues including a specific plan amendment, CEQA compliance, development agreement, endangered species, archeological reserves, wetlands, and land exchange issues.
  • Developer. Represented developer of 93-acre mixed-use commercial, industrial, retail, and residential project on CEQA compliance, general plan and specific plan issues, rezoning matters, negotiation of development agreement, referendum and EIR challenges, and obtaining 404, 401, and 1603 approvals.
  • Developer. Represented the developer of a 2,200‐unit master‐planned community in the City of Chino in connection with development agreement modifications, various easement and entry permit issues with governmental agencies, and all entitlements needed for project build‐out.
  • Developer. Represented developer in negotiations with City regarding dedication and construction agreements.
  • Developer. Represented developer of 18-acre commercial office development project in connection with CEQA compliance, local entitlement, development agreement, trip transfers, and related matters.
