Brian is a senior counsel in the firm’s Orange County office, where he advises a broad range of clients across the real estate industry, including commercial lenders, institutional investors, private equity sponsors, REITs, pension funds, and public and private developers. His practice spans the full lifecycle of real estate assets, and he is known for providing practical, business-minded guidance on complex transactions.
Brian counsels clients in all phases of sophisticated real estate and construction matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, development, construction contracting, financing, and leasing. He has experience with a wide variety of asset classes, such as industrial and logistics facilities, healthcare and life science campuses, energy and infrastructure projects, entertainment and media properties, office buildings, mixed-use developments, and multifamily communities. His work often involves navigating intricate deal structures, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and managing projects from initial strategy through closing and ongoing asset management.
Before joining Allen Matkins, Brian practiced at a prominent AmLaw 100 firm, where he represented major developers, institutional owners, and financial institutions in large-scale real estate transactions across the United States. His background gives him a deep understanding of the legal, commercial, and operational issues that shape today’s real estate market, enabling him to deliver strategic solutions aligned with each client’s long-term objectives.
