Lauren R. Margiano
Partner
Lauren is a partner in the New York office who focuses on leasing and other commercial real estate transactions. She has more than 15 years of experience advising landlords and tenants in office, retail, and restaurant leases across New York City and nationally, including large-scale headquarters and portfolio-wide transactions. Along with her representation of preeminent landlords, Lauren has a comprehensive tenant-side practice, counseling global banking and financial services firms, insurers, law firms, media companies, and other sophisticated lessees in transactions across the U.S.
Her practice encompasses all steps of the the leasing process, from due diligence, initial structuring, and negotiation through execution and ongoing lease administration. She has also represented landlords in numerous not‑for‑profit leasehold condominium sale transactions, as well as in a variety of ground leases.
Before joining Allen Matkins, Lauren worked in the New York office of an AmLaw 100 firm.
- Global Asset Manager. Advised landlord in numerous transactions, including the simultaneous leasing of a New York City department store and 400,000 square feet of office space to a luxury retailer, and in a separate lease to a New York City hospitality tenant.*
- National Banking Association. Represented client in a portfolio-wide sale and leaseback of properties across New York City.*
- REIT. Counseled landlord in 100,000-square-foot office and retail banking lease.*
- Commercial Landlords. Advised several landlords in office leases with financial services firms across New York City.*
- Corporate Tenants. Represented insurance companies, banking associations, financial institutions, and other professional services tenants in leases throughout the U.S., including headquarters leases of at least 75,000 square feet.*
