Alexander Nestor Joins Labor and Employment Group at Allen Matkins

Experienced Litigator Will Add Depth to Firm's Successful Practice

SAN FRANCISCO - May 21, 2009 - Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP, a leading California business and real estate law firm, announces the expansion of its labor and employment practice group with the addition of Alexander Nestor as senior counsel in the firm's San Francisco office.

Nestor represents employers in employment litigation in state and federal courts, in arbitration proceedings, and before state and federal agencies, against single plaintiff and class action claims, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, trade secrets misappropriation, unfair competition, and wage and hour class actions. Nestor counsels employers on a broad range of labor and employment issues, including compliance with state and federal employment laws, discipline and terminations, internal and government investigations, leaves of absence, disability accommodation, wage and hour compliance, executive employment agreements, severance agreements, and restrictive covenants.

He was most recently an associate with the law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.

Nestor is a member of the Labor and Employment Sections of the American and Santa Clara County Bar Associations. He earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University in 1999, his M.A. from Northeastern University in 1995, and his B.A. from York University, Canada in 1992. He also served as a judicial extern for both the Honorable Joyce L. Kennard, Supreme Court of California, and the Honorable Spencer Williams, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.

Allen Matkins' labor and employment department represents employers in all areas of labor and employment law. The firm represents both large and small employers, across diverse industries, from Fortune 500 companies with thousands of employees, to companies with only a few employees.
