Allen Matkins Welcomes Back Real Estate Attorney Scott D. Howie

IRVINE – November 14, 2022 – Allen Matkins, a full-service real estate and business law firm, announced today the addition of Senior Counsel Scott D. Howie to its Orange County office as a member of the firm's prominent Real Estate Department. Scott has a broad scope of transactional real estate experience, representing developers and owners of industrial, office, retail, and residential properties on acquisitions and dispositions, financing, and leasing-related matters.    

Most recently, Scott was Vice President & Assistant General Counsel at the Office Properties Division of The Irvine Company. In that role, Scott served as primary counsel for the company’s Silicon Valley and Los Angeles office properties, as well as substantial portions of its Orange County high-rise portfolio. Prior to The Irvine Company, Scott practiced at Dzida, Carey & Steinman where he excelled at a variety of complex real estate matters, including commercial and residential acquisitions, development, and dispositions; representing landlords on leasing issues; real estate finance and loan negotiations; and other transactional matters across numerous states, such as Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, and Texas. Scott previously worked at Allen Matkins and the firm is thrilled for his return.
