Allen Matkins Welcomes Commercial Finance and Real Estate Attorney Max Rawn

LOS ANGELES – July 21, 2015 – Allen Matkins, a California-based full service real estate and business law firm, announced today the hiring of commercial finance and real estate attorney Max E. Rawn in its Los Angeles office. As a member of the firm's Corporate & Finance Department, Max represents lenders and borrowers in connection with a wide range of financing transactions, including construction loans, mezzanine loans, commercial mortgage loans, secured and unsecured syndicated loans, letters of credit, asset-based loans, factoring arrangements, and bond issues.

Max E. Rawn

Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Max was an Assistant General Counsel for the Commercial Term Lending unit of JPMorgan Chase Bank where he supported $14 billion of annual commercial mortgage loan origination volume and a portfolio of $54 billion owned and $7 billion serviced commercial mortgage loans. He also provided legal advice on a wide range of matters to senior business personnel in sales, risk, portfolio management, marketing, compliance, and controls, and analyzed the applicability of new and changed federal, state, and local laws and regulations to the Commercial Term Lending unit.

"Max brings with him an impressive cross section of finance and real estate experience, making him a valuable addition to Allen Matkins' already stellar commercial finance and real estate finance groups," says Pauline M. Stevens, leader of the firm's Commercial Finance Practice Group. "His real life experience working for a leading financial institution allows him to make an immediate impact on existing matters." In addition to Max's recent hire, Allen Matkins has hired 12 new attorneys since Fall 2014.

Max received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he externed at the Minnesota Tax Court and served as co-director of the Consumer Bankruptcy Clinic, and his B.A. in English from the University of Maryland, College Park.
