Land Use

Public Finance/Redevelopment

Allen Matkins has been instrumental in helping many developers, investors and lenders realize opportunities and overcome challenges presented by redevelopment projects.

Allen Matkins can bring vast real estate and land use experience to the table when negotiating a redevelopment project. This expertise distinguishes us from many other firms practicing in this field.

In addition to public finance, business and law, we understand the underlying policy goals and the motivations of the policy-makers when entering into public-private redevelopment projects.

We often act as translators between the developer and the public sector: We help developers understand the public goals and restrictions, and we teach them to communicate more effectively with the government. Conversely, we help public staff and decision-makers understand the pressures and constraints facing a developer.
