Allen Matkins Advises Capital Group in Largest Office Sale in LA County Since 2023

June 17, 2026 – Allen Matkins announced today that it has represented Capital Group in the purchase of 333 S. Hope St., a/k/a Bank of America Plaza, in Downtown Los Angeles through a receivership sale for $210 million, making it the largest office sale in Los Angeles in 2026 and the largest in Los Angeles County since 2023, according to Colliers. The seller was a court-appointed receiver, Chris Nielsen, managing partner and co-head of Trigild.

The building is Capital Group’s corporate headquarters in downtown Los Angeles. The 55-story building will support the firm's growth as it expands support for clients as part of a wider global location strategy, including the opening of a new office in Charlotte later this year.

The building was constructed in 1974, Capital Group signed its initial lease in 1976 during the Bunker Hill redevelopment, and has occupied the building since 1978. The building will remain a multi-tenant building, with Capital Group as the largest and anchor tenant.
